Traverse City Rotary - About Rotary

Rotarians are committed to involving young people in the Club's programs and activities. New Generations service refers to the youngest generation in the Rotary family. Many participate in existing Rotary International youth and young adult programs: Interact, Rotaract, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, and Rotary Youth Exchange. Others participate in local Rotary Club and district level activities. Through New Generations Service, Rotarians share an opportunity and a charge to inspire youth to community involvement and a spirit of “service above self”.

Traverse City Rotary Youth and Young Adult Programs:

Student Guests: Recognition of outstanding local high school students at weekly Club meeting.

Life Leadership Conference: Sponsor attendance of selected applicants to Rotary District 6290 annual leadership conference.

STRIVE: Club members mentor selected area students.

Youth Exchange: Opportunity for selected local high school students to spend a year in a foreign country experiencing a new culture, and similarly, for local families to host a foreign student.
