Welcome to the Traverse City Rotary Club web site where our vision is: “Driven by our diverse membership that represents the faces of our constituencies, the TC Rotary Club will be a growing force for improving the quality of life in our communities of Traverse City, the five county area, Michigan and the world.”

We are a unique club in several ways. With almost 300 members, we are among the largest Rotary Clubs in the world. We are also unique in that our club sponsors two additional Rotary organizations: Rotary Charities and Rotary Camps and Services.

In addition to being large, we are a busy and productive club, conducting over 20 service projects every year while serving our community, region and world. Annually, these projects generate services valued at over $100,000. Membership in Rotary is an opportunity to participate in those service projects that are meaningful, adding our member’s own brand of care to our community.

Membership in Rotary has a very specific purpose: to provide “Service Above Self”, and is guided by the Four Way Test:

Is it Fair to all concerned
Is it the truth
Will it build good will and friendships
Will it be beneficial to all concerned

These words were written by a Rotarian to help guide his employees out of a failing business situation in 1932. It was adopted as part of Rotary International in January of 1943.
