Each year, Rotary Charities provides approximately $1.2 to 1.5 million to nonprofits, local units of government, and schools in the five-county Grand Traverse region (Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, and Leelanau counties).
Rotary Charities makes grants in four areas:
- CAPITAL GRANTS to help with the renovation, expansion or construction of needed community facilities or acquisition of property for public use. Awards range from $10,000 to $100,000.
- PROGRAM GRANTS to promote innovative, grass-roots approaches to community issues that represent new programs and expansion of successful programs that have a measurable impact. Awards range from $10,000 to $99,000.
- CAPACITY BUILDING GRANTS to strengthen the ability of nonprofit organizations, partnerships or networks to have impact. Awards range from $10,000 to $100,000.
- SEED GRANTS to assist nonprofits, partnerships or networks develop or implement successful strategies for capacity, programs and capital projects. Awards up to $10,000.

Program Related Investments

The Good Works Fund of the Rotary Club of Traverse City
The Good Works Committee of the Rotary Club of Traverse City coordinates the disbursement of funds raised by the club’s annual Rotary Show. The Good Works Committee accepts grant requests from local community organizations for projects and initiatives, primarily in Grand Traverse County.
