We accept grant applications on Survey Monkey Apply. First, select register as an organization and fill in the primary contact’s information on the registration form. If you are applying as a collaborative or network, the fiscal agent should register and create the application first. Our Funding Areas

Assets for Thriving Communities

Purpose: Support for community assets that help create prosperity that is broadly experienced.

Deadline: August 26th
Amount: Up to $100,000
Duration: 1 to 3 years
Match Requirement: Can be a combination of cash and in-kind totaling at least 50% of the total project cost


Systems Change Accelerator

Purpose: Support innovation(s) that target root causes to complex community problems leading to more resilient, equitable and healthy systems.

Deadline: August 26th
Amount: Up to $150,000
Duration: 1 to 3 years
Match Requirement: 10% match of request, from all entities named in proposed budget (mix of cash and in-kind)


Changemaker Fellowship

Purpose: Support breakthrough learning and sharing that will expand understanding about how we might work differently to make durable and broad community progress. Fellows will commit to share what they learn through a local workshop and through quarterly Community of Practice (CoP) meetings with other fellows & grantees (RC will convene 2 CoPs for Thriving Communities and Systems Change).

Deadline: 15th of the month
Amount: Up to $20,000
Duration: 1 year
Match Requirement: “Match” through agreement to share what is learned in a workshop


Seed Grant

Purpose: Support ventures where a small investment will go a long way toward a larger impact. Often used for convening, planning or capacity building stages of larger projects like those that could be funded under the Assets for Thriving Communities or Systems Change Accelerator Programs.

Deadline: 15th of the month
Amount: $10,000 (suggested max)
Duration: 1 year
Match Requirement: 25% match of request (mix of cash and in-kind)

The Good Works Fund of the Rotary Club of Traverse City

The Good Works Committee of the Rotary Club of Traverse City coordinates the disbursement of funds raised by the club’s annual Rotary Show. The Good Works Committee accepts grant requests from local community organizations for projects and initiatives, primarily in Grand Traverse County.
