We’ve Moved—New Mailing Address

Heads up! The Rotary Club of Traverse City has a new mailing address:
PO Box 1143, Traverse City, MI 49685

If you’ve already sent something to the old address, no worries—it’ll still get to us! Just keep in mind it might take a little longer to arrive with mail forwarding.

Please update your records and send all future mail to our new P.O. Box.

LAST CALL - Sign Up For A Shift At The Cherry Festival!

It’s almost Cherry Festival time, and the club is once again stepping up to help make it a success! We’ve signed up for a variety of shifts across several fun areas: the beer tent, the ice cream & pie tent, the souvenir tent, and the Pepsi tent.

We need lots of helping hands—so grab a shift (or two!) and join the fun. Sign up by clicking the button below.

You'll need to create an account to register for your shifts and to sign your volunteer waivers. If you have any trouble signing up, don’t stress—Liz is happy to help after any meeting.

Communications Request Form

Need Help Promoting Your Event? To improve both internal and external communication, the Communications Committee has created a Communications Request Form.

Whether you need a meeting or bulletin announcement, or you're looking for PR support like social media posts or press releases, this form is the first step. Simply fill it out, and Liz will follow up with you to create a communications plan. Click the button below to find the form.

With so much happening in our club, it's best to submit your request as early as possible to allow plenty of time for planning and promotion. The more details you can provide, the better!

You’ll find the form linked in the bulletin every week, and it will also be added to the website once updates are complete.

If you have any questions or run into technical difficulties with the form, please email Liz at admin@traversecityrotary.org.

Help Request! - The Rotary Club of Asheville, NC

Last week, member Cindy Ruzak made a request on behalf of The Rotary Club of Asheville, NC, for assistance with Hurricane Helene devastation. Last September, Hurricane Helene slammed through Western North Carolina. It devastated homes, businesses, and lives. Rotary Clubs across the U.S. and Canada stepped up in a big way. The Rotary Club of Asheville set up a Disaster Relief fund, and thanks to the club’s generosity, they have delivered over $450,000 in aid to 40+ local groups. Rotarians have helped put heaters in homes, water and food on tables, and families on the path to rebuilding.

The Asheville club’s website also has pictures of their Helene cleanup areas. Their most recent workbee was to bring back the bee population that was wiped out by floodwaters. Check out the great news story HERE.

But even with all the work they've completed, they are still deep in the fight. Tourism, which fuels the Western North Carolina economy, is down 70%. Their cultural districts were destroyed, and towns were virtually leveled. Thousands of homes—over 9,200—were damaged or lost. And state and federal aid have only covered a small slice of what’s needed.

This Asheville Club has a great committee in place, chaired by Past President Janet Whitworth. They are Rotarians who know how to vet requests and stretch every dollar. What is now needed is financial fuel to keep going. If you feel so inclined to donate, you can do so HERE.
