The program for the day will be the Traverse City Horse Shows brought to us by Gary Howe.
_Gary Howe is the marketing and communications manager for Traverse City Horse Shows, where he joined the team this past spring. With deep local roots and a background in storytelling, he brings a fresh perspective to the horse shows that are in their 9th year. Despite being new to the equestrian sport, Gary is eager to share the exciting events happening at Flintfields Horse Park in Williamsburg. In his upcoming Rotary introduction, he will highlight why Traverse City Horse Shows is considered North America's premier summer equestrian event and the lasting impact it has on Northern Michigan.
Our Newest Rotarian
We inducted Michelle Czerwonkaat our 7/11 meeting!
Michelle grew up in Northern California and visited Traverse City in the summers. After an
incredible 4 years in the US Navy she spent a year reconnecting with family in Traverse City. Upon graduation, she intended to return to the Navy, but life brought her back to TC to support family. Michelle and her family live in a 137 year old farmhouse in East Bay Township built by her great-great-great-great grandparents. She currently manages 76 of the original 160 acres - of the farm that started 160 years ago. Her philosophy in all has been life through service, and this is how she educated her children.
Michelle actively volunteers everywhere she can. To include: Traverse Area District Library, Northern Michigan Homeschool Partnership, Tart Trails, Norte, Great Lakes Children's Museum, Habitat for Humanity, Music House Museum, Boardman River Clean Sweep, Coast Guard Spouses Association, TCAPS, 4-H, NMC, Greenspire Robotics Team, Festival of Trains, Old Town Playhouse, Traverse Symphony Orchestra, and most recently (beginning with Rotary) - The National Cherry Festival and The Beer Tent!
WELCOME TO ROTARY MICHELLE

The Rotary Boat Rallyto Power Island was a success! A great group of Rotarians had a relaxing evening boating and kayaking out to the island with their captains to enjoy some picnic food and a dip in the water. Thank you to everyone who made the evening one to remember and check out the photo album link below. If you have other photos you'd like to share you can send them to Liz at admin@traversecityrotary.org
