Wheels of Hope is a unique 501 (c)(3) international leadership project of the Rotary Club of Traverse City, Michigan, and a partnership agreement with four Rotary Clubs located in Jos, Nigeria. This project gives the gift of mobility and independence by providing a free wheelchair to polio survivors in the northern states of Nigeria, Africa.

Your purchase makes an ideal gift, program honorarium, special recognition or congratulations—while providing mobility to Nigerian polio victims.

This project will furnish all participating (donor) Rotary Clubs and individuals with certificates and polio survivor pictures. The amount of $75 helps towards the purchase a wheelchair and $150 funds the entire purchase of one wheelchair. Club project buys at levels ranging from 25 to 100 chairs are encouraged.

Wheelchairs are built from bicycle parts purchased in Nigeria by local workers at the Handicapped Advocacy and Rehabilitation Center in Jos, Nigeria, with oversight and financial control by local Rotarians.

Your extraordinary gift is affordable and will address an ongoing critical need of polio survivors in Nigeria. View the Wheels of Hope video:
